不簡單的竹筏課：船上的datay七里香和ukesay 雀榕樹

這一週趁著臺東天氣晴<img alt="☀️" height="16" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/tee/2/16/2600.png" width="16" />，團長Cinaw帶著學員再度前往海岸山脈的成功山區，尋尋覓覓datay七里香 和ukesay 雀榕樹；七里香是用來製作竹筏上的槳座和槳架，要堅固的材料，才能支撐住船槳，讓竹筏能更加省力地在海面上划行。<img alt="💪" height="16" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/tb/2/16/1f4aa.png" width="16" /><img alt="💪" height="16" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/tb/2/16/1f4aa.png" width="16" />

Cinaw團長說，以前老人家常常拿datay來製作生活用具，像是拐杖、印章、農具或小刀柄等，因為datay木質堅硬，製作竹筏時，長輩就利用它來製作槳座和槳架，來穩定船槳。<img alt="👌" height="16" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t1a/2/16/1f44c.png" width="16" />

雀榕在阿美族稱ukesay或 calamay，Cinaw團長說，我們要用它的氣根製作船漿。氣根十分粗大，有的比樹幹還要強壯，從樹幹長出，垂落到地面後成為支持根，具有支撐主幹的作用，莖高約125cm。<img alt="😲" height="16" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t4c/2/16/1f632.png" width="16" /><img alt="😲" height="16" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t4c/2/16/1f632.png" width="16" /> 
團長說，氣根質地輕、彈性好，又不易斷裂，最適合拿來製作船槳！我們砍下了兩支氣根，雖說質地輕，但剛剛砍下來的樹材卻很沉重，走在前面的學員佳賢身高將近180cm，木頭扛上肩後，在其後的團長和副團長只能用頭頂著往前進，形成十分有趣的畫面。<img alt="😆" height="16" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t73/2/16/1f606.png" width="16" /><img alt="😆" height="16" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t73/2/16/1f606.png" width="16" />
